Caption writing tips

Instagram captions are limited to 2,200 characters. The first 125 characters appear before "more". This means your hook needs to land in those first two lines. Write hooks that create curiosity, ask questions, or make bold statements. Use line breaks generously and structure long captions for skimmability.

Pro tip: draft your captions in Notion with the character counter property, then publish with Scheduled. The formatting (line breaks, emojis) is preserved exactly as you wrote it.
